Wenzhou Telecom Building Facade Renovation

Wenzhou Telecom Building (South Station Hub Building) is located beside South Station Overpass in Lucheng District, Wenzhou. It used to be the tallest building in Wenzhou and a classic urban landmark for communication. This facade renovation is a renewal project for super high-rise old building. The original aged hidden frame curtain wall was demolished, replaced with a new system of vertical aluminum panel lines and high-performance glass curtain wall. A diamond mesh decorative crown is added on the top with integrated night lighting. The renovation focuses on eliminating safety hazards of old curtain wall, adapting to coastal typhoon, high humidity and salt fog climate in Wenzhou, improving building energy efficiency, and reshaping the modern image of super high-rise communication hub in old town of Wenzhou.

Curtain Wall System: Stick glass curtain wall, vertical aluminum panel decorative curtain wall, top diamond mesh shell decorative system, integrated night lighting system
Main Materials: Double-silver Low-E insulated tempered glass, fluorocarbon coated aluminum panel, thermal-break aluminum alloy profile, weather-resistant structural sealant, high anti-corrosion & typhoon-resistant hardware
Performance: Comply with GB/T 21086, meet high wind resistance, water & air tightness, sound insulation and thermal insulation requirements for coastal super high-rise buildings, raise overall energy-saving rate and strengthen salt-spray corrosion resistance
Construction Technology: BIM reverse scanning and modeling to check original main structure; special design for connection joints between old and new structures, protective scheme for super high-rise aerial work; factory prefabrication of panels, segmented high-altitude hoisting, strict control of structural safety, finished product protection and construction noise reduction for old building renovation
